I decorated my Compass Card (public transit card) yesterday. I love stickers. ^-^

Nami Drawing

Nami.png

I drew Nami in my own drawing style. In the manga and anime, she has an hour glass figure. The hour glass makes her look really cute but I won’t draw that. ^^

There are beli in the background because she loves money. Beli is the currency in One Piece!

I use stickies to mark my page instead of paper bookmarks. I don’t like to hold onto bookmarks and they always seem to fall out of the book. Another advantage of this is that you can put it beside the paragraph or line you left off.

I got the Shio Ramen at Danbo in Vancouver, BC.

Help: Which book should I read first?

  • Walden Two – B.F. Skinner ($2 at book sale on university campus)
  • Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde – Robert Louis Stevenson ($3 at thrift store)
  • Jane Eyre – Charlotte Bronte ($2 at thrift store)

I try to avoid thrift stores because they make me sneeze a lot. I think I’m allergic to dust but if it means getting $2 books, then I’m willing to go.

I read manga everyday. Manga are Japanese comics and they are the book version of anime. You read in the opposite direction. Even though I like manga more, I still like novels.

I like books on psychology, mystery and books with villains. I read books that were written a long time ago. Walden Two was published in 1948. Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was first published in 1886. Jane Eyre was first published in 1847. The only more modern books I like are by Haruki Murakami. He is a Japanese author and I read his books that have been translated in English.

Let me know in the comments which book I should read first!

Review: Nature Republic Shea Butter Moist Steam Cream

I am a big fan of EXO, Korean pop group, and I went to their concert as well. When I learned that they endorse Nature Republic, I instantly became interested in their skincare products.

This is a moisturizer for dry and normal skin. It’s great for winter months because it has a thicker texture. It may not be suitable for spring and summer, but some people use it all-year round. Honestly, it does not smell like shea butter. It has a faint scent which I appreciate because my nose is sensitive to strong scents. The scent is refreshing. Overall, it’s a good product and I recommend it!

Daiso Mini Haul

What is Daiso?

It’s a store that sells the stuff you see at a regular dollar store, except everything is two dollars (unless stated otherwise). Plus, everything is cute and some things aren’t practical but you buy them anyways because they’re cute. I think Daiso sells a lot more items than dollar stores, and it’s Japanese.

  • two notebooks for summer school ($2 each)
  • white gloves and black bow tie for cosplay ($2 each)
  • clear container ($2)
  • jar (secret) ($3)

The container is perfect for holding the different parts of my Haruhi nendo. I like that it’s clear because I can see through the cover without opening the container. If I get more nendoroids in the future, I can fill up this container.

I’m going to fill my jar with something exciting in the future, but that will be for a different post.
