Fun day with Maiko

Maiko is a Japanese exchange student I met some months ago at a social event. She is returning home soon, so I had to see her again one last time.

We went to Suika in Vancouver, BC for lunch. I got miso ramen and it tasted great.

Even though I’ve only hung out with Maiko during thatΒ social event, she got me a gift. She is such a kind-hearted person, and so much fun to hang out with. I wish I got to see her more during the school year but life was so hectic. It’s a letter set from Japan with paper, envelopes, and stickers.

Details. This is really good quality.

I picked up a couple of cosplay things (brown short wig, and green sneakers – for Kido). We went shopping after our lunchΒ and I also bought the video game, Star Ocean. Maiko bought way more things than me.

I’m really going to miss Maiko, but I’m gladΒ I got to see her before she goes back to Japan.

  1. Nice to see that you have made such a good friend. The great thing about loving in these times is that there are so many ways to stay in touch: Facebook, Skype, whatsapp…so it should be easy 😊 Great that you have had a good time: those ramen look very tasty πŸ˜€

    • I’m a lucky girl. That is true. I had a childhood friend (as named Rose) and back then, neither of us had social media. We spent almost every day together during the summer because we were neighbours. Then she went back to China and I never heard from her again. The great thing about the current generation is the technology, as well as the abundance of ppl who use it. Thanks. πŸ™‚
