I went to a cafe called Fondway Cafe in Burnaby, BC and the food was good! I got these waffles. It was a little pricey but the cafe was pretty.
As I took this photo, I felt like Mitsuha in Taki’s body from Kimi no Na Wa/Your Name, hahaha.
The cool thing about being a cosplayer and/or anime fan is that you probably have anime stuff in your room! This is Kaneki’s mask from Tokyo Ghoul. I also have One Piece stuff, such as posters, plush of Chopper Man, Luffy’s straw hat, and a few other One Piece things. Of course I have a lot more anime things (especially since I cosplay) but maybe I will talk about them in a different blog post…
Singer 2018 is finished! Click here to know what I’m talking about. Unfortunately Hua Chenyu did not win first place but I am happy with the results. Jessie J won and I think she deserves it! Hua Hua won second place and that’s a huge achievement.
I also finally bought the novel, Notre-Dame de Paris by Victor Hugo. I wrote in an older post that I wanted to read it but the number of pages scared me. My plans for the summer break are to look for a part-time job, cosplay, and stay at home. I want to read my novel, watch One Piece, play video games, eat ice cream at home, and sleep. I don’t have any other requirements. My wish is to live life simply and worry-free. ^^
I bought these games yesterday. I hope I like them.
I treated myself to a matcha ice cream cone. It’s the last day of class for my Bachelor’s degree (Arts) in Psychology at University of British Columbia. After finals, I’m graduating! 🎓 If you look at my Archives, I post the most when I have a break from school. I woke up at 6 AM every Monday to Friday this term. I have a full course load as well, which is why I am graduating after four years of doing my undergrad at the age of 21 (I went to university right after I completed high school).
Readers of my blog (mainly girls in high school) sometimes email me or message me about university inquiries. That’s why I feel compelled to write about my experience, especially since I don’t show the student side of me that much on my blog.
I enjoyed university a lot more than high school and elementary school. I didn’t have great experiences in my high school and elementary schools though… I made great friends and I feel comfortable being myself around them. They are supportive of my anime and cosplaying hobbies and they are very nice to me. As a young adult, I have a lot of freedom and therefore I am able to engage in my hobbies. This blog is a space where I basically show a glimpse of my personal life in terms of anime fandom and other hobbies. Hobbies are very important to me because they allow me to take a break from school and other commitments and responsibilities. Anime and my other interests make up part of my identity.
I was accepted into a UBC program so I’m continuing school in the Fall. ^_^
Moya (Moyatori) from The Moyatorium goes to the same university as me. Today, we met for the first time at a café!
Moya was trying to figure out my real name so that’s why we are holding Death Note volumes. I am L and Light is Moya.
This is my first time meeting another blogger in real life. It’s fun!
I went to Ki Tea House, which is an anime bubble tea cafe in Burnaby, BC (Canada). They have One Piece decorations and anime figurines. There are bookshelves of manga to read. I went there to study after school one day and drank bubble tea. I also read manga there, as it was my assigned reading for Anime class.
I went to Marulilu Cafe yesterday in Vancouver and ordered omurice. It was brunch for me. I went to these places by myself LOL and I had a lot of fun. I think I am somewhat selective when it comes to who I hang out with. Some people gossip too much and I really do not care at all about other peoples’ business… Some people have no compatibility with me. Although, this is rarely an issue.

I sketched Hatsune Miku last night. This is the *most* colouring I feel like doing at this time as I am still focusing on sketching. It’s missing details, but this is how I want it to look. ^^
I also went to a melonpan bakery yesterday! Apparently there is only one place in the province that sells melonpans and Japanese breads so… we had to go.
I turned 21 years old on October 1! On the day before my birthday, I got my ears pierced with a friend. I got upper lobe done and it was painless. We visited a Chinese garden then went to my place for a sleepover.
All of my close friends attended my birthday dinner. We went to a Japanese restaurant.
Two friends surprised me with a cake. The staff sang ‘Happy Birthday’ really loud and I was shocked! I thought it was for a different table.
You can see my balloon and a scarf my friends gave me. I got a lot of cool gifts! I honestly think that I have the best friends in the whole world because they accept me for who I am. I am a little different with the whole anime hobby thing. I act like a kid, and I ask a lot of dumb questions. They still love me for being me.
