Maiko is a Japanese exchange student I met some months ago at a social event. She is returning home soon, so I had to see her again one last time.
We went to Suika in Vancouver, BC for lunch. I got miso ramen and it tasted great.
Even though I’ve only hung out with Maiko during that social event, she got me a gift. She is such a kind-hearted person, and so much fun to hang out with. I wish I got to see her more during the school year but life was so hectic. It’s a letter set from Japan with paper, envelopes, and stickers.
Details. This is really good quality.
I picked up a couple of cosplay things (brown short wig, and green sneakers – for Kido). We went shopping after our lunch and I also bought the video game, Star Ocean. Maiko bought way more things than me.
I’m really going to miss Maiko, but I’m glad I got to see her before she goes back to Japan.
I have a week off from school but I still have to study a lot. Here are a couple of photos from today. These are photos taken with my new phone without editing.
I ate a lot of sushi today, but this was beautiful. :’)
The lights at night are so pretty! A lot of people take photos of them.
My friends and I got brunch at Catch 122 in Vancouver. I got the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and it was yummy. ^^
I made kimchi fried rice for the first time. Tbh I rarely cook but this is something I’ll be making more of because it’s easy.
The weather has been nice lately so I finally got to wear my new shoes.
More like two weeks. I have lots more photos but I’m just going to post these ones.
I watched One Piece Film: Gold. It was awesome! It was really funny and Robin made hand puns. Brook made alive jokes again and Zoro was as strong as ever! Also Lucci and Spandam made their appearance which made me so happy. The message of the film (from my interpretation) is that gold/money can’t buy you everything. Friendship is more important!
Excited to eat ramen!
Time for bingsu!!!
California roll and miso soup. Yay
Bubble tea after class! I got roasted milk tea
I got pasta and delicious dessert the other day. The dessert was gingerbread cake with vanilla ice cream and brown sugar apples.
Missing from the first photo: almond milk. My friend made me a smoothie.
I had brunch at a place called Yolks in Vancouver. We got there at 11 AM, but had to wait an hour and a half to get seated. My friends didn’t think that it would be this popular.
I got two eggs, bacon and hash browns for $13.50 before tax and tip. Another popular item is the chicken and waffles combo. My friends thought there was too much hype because they thought the food wasn’t the best. I thought the food was good, but I wouldn’t go again if I had to wait.
