Vancity Eats (Part 6)

I write up food blog posts three times a year: after the first term of school, after the second term of school, and after the summer.

Term two of school recently ended so here is part six! You can view part five here. That post has all the links to the earlier Vancity Eats posts. Once again, these are some of the foods I’ve eaten with my crew.

Okay, enough chit-chat LOL. Time to make some of you guys hungry. >:)

Fun day with Maiko

Maiko is a Japanese exchange student I met some months ago at a social event. She is returning home soon, so I had to see her again one last time.

We went to Suika in Vancouver, BC for lunch. I got miso ramen and it tasted great.

Even though I’ve only hung out with Maiko during that social event, she got me a gift. She is such a kind-hearted person, and so much fun to hang out with. I wish I got to see her more during the school year but life was so hectic. It’s a letter set from Japan with paper, envelopes, and stickers.

Details. This is really good quality.

I picked up a couple of cosplay things (brown short wig, and green sneakers – for Kido). We went shopping after our lunch and I also bought the video game, Star Ocean. Maiko bought way more things than me.

I’m really going to miss Maiko, but I’m glad I got to see her before she goes back to Japan.

First day of Reading Week

I have a week off from school but I still have to study a lot. Here are a couple of photos from today. These are photos taken with my new phone without editing.

I ate a lot of sushi today, but this was beautiful. :’)

The lights at night are so pretty! A lot of people take photos of them.

Yolks

I had brunch at a place called Yolks in Vancouver. We got there at 11 AM, but had to wait an hour and a half to get seated. My friends didn’t think that it would be this popular.

I got two eggs, bacon and hash browns for $13.50 before tax and tip. Another popular item is the chicken and waffles combo. My friends thought there was too much hype because they thought the food wasn’t the best. I thought the food was good, but I wouldn’t go again if I had to wait.

Photos from my bday celebration

Some of you have asked for a bday post, so here it is.

I ordered the Royal bento box.

I celebrated with friends, and I’m going to see some friends tomorrow too. If anyone is wondering, I got a gift card, a wallet, bath bombs, a Tony Tony Chopper plush, a sweater, another gift card, and a painting of Roronoa Zoro my friend painted for me.
