My friend, Carmen, went to Anime Revolution on Sunday, August 5 and gave me a signed poster of the Chinese cosplayers, Baozi and Hana. Thank you Carmen for lining up and for asking them to write my name. Baozi and Hana are two of my favourite cosplayers.
I’ve never done an unboxing blog post before, so I thought I could do it with this. Relatives from China gifted us a lot of presents, and this is one of them.
I didn’t expect gifts at all, so this was a huge surprise. I opened the box and saw Snow White’s red apple. At first I thought it was a beautiful ornament, and then…
Then I realized you could open it, and inside was a necklace made out of real gold. O__O There is a laminated Certificate of Precious Metal Test, saying that it’s a gold necklace.
There are other papers too, and that’s how I found out that the name of the necklace is <>. I think that’s beautiful, especially since I was feeling blue.
The necklace is part of the 3D series.
^_^ Everything I own is fairly inexpensive, so this is a special gift to me.
I’ve decided to blog about the books other people have given me. I own more manga and anime related books than ones shown here since I’ve bought manga for myself, but maybe that will be for another post.
Complete manga series
– Time Stranger Kyoko (Arina Tanemura is my favourite mangaka)
– Crescent Moon (No offence, but this one was not very good)
– Pita Ten – Volume 1
– Masami Tsuda’s collection of one-shot stories (She is the creator of Kare Kano)
– Death Note
– Pita Ten – Volume 1
– B.O.D.Y. – Volume 4
– One Pound Gospel – Volume 2
I got these three today from someone. I’ve watched the anime for Pita Ten, but I haven’t read the manga yet. One Pound Gospel is by the same creator of the popular manga series, InuYasha. B.O.D.Y. has beautiful characters, as expected of shōjo manga haha.
Sorry if this post is confusing. I know it has new words like manga, anime, mangaka, light novel, one-shot, shōjo.
Maiko is a Japanese exchange student I met some months ago at a social event. She is returning home soon, so I had to see her again one last time.
We went to Suika in Vancouver, BC for lunch. I got miso ramen and it tasted great.
Even though I’ve only hung out with Maiko during that social event, she got me a gift. She is such a kind-hearted person, and so much fun to hang out with. I wish I got to see her more during the school year but life was so hectic. It’s a letter set from Japan with paper, envelopes, and stickers.
I picked up a couple of cosplay things (brown short wig, and green sneakers – for Kido). We went shopping after our lunch and I also bought the video game, Star Ocean. Maiko bought way more things than me.
I’m really going to miss Maiko, but I’m glad I got to see her before she goes back to Japan.
When I got home today, I was given shampoo and conditioner – just what I’ve been meaning to buy. Now I don’t have to go out~ ^O^
I also got these sick pyjama pants as a gift haha~
My friends know me TOO well. They knew that I’ve always wanted an alpacasso (and got me one for my birthday last year), got me not only a dog dust plug for my phone, but a rose plug as well. They knew I love strawberries + pocky. They knew I love One Piece and a friend brought back a OP fan from China. They knew I was looking to buy a choker. I was given this choker as a present:
I am so lucky. I am so lucky. Once again, I am so lucky.
My friend gave me strawberry pocky chopsticks and I wanted to share a photo of them with all of you. I don’t think I will use them because they’re too cute!! ><
