It’s been a while since I last updated the blog. There are a few reasons for this. The first is because I bought the Switch OLED and have been obsessed with Animal Crossing ever since. I visited Minty’s island!
When I first started Animal Crossing. Minty’s the one on the left.
The second reason for my lack of posting is that I got Covid. Fortunately, the rest of my family members never got it. I self-isolated in my room the entire time and had my meals delivered to my door. I’m grateful for my family’s support. I am also thankful for all the good wishes from everyone on Twitter.
Although I recovered and tested negative a while back, I still cough every day.
Flowers from my boyfriend.
The third reason is due to a new work schedule. I’ve more or less adjusted to this schedule so expect posts more regularly! However, I do feel tired more often now, and I’m not sure if it is because I had Covid. Does anyone else have a similar experience?
Thanks to Irina’s anime recommendation, I just binged both seasons of Ajin. It’s my kind of show. I didn’t really like the main character, the main villain, or the government workers. That being said, I’m not sure whose side I’m on. Probably the government’s because I am also human. It’s still one of my favourite anime because of how intense it was.
I don’t recommend it to everyone, though. If you don’t like violent shows, this is not for you.

In other news, K made a Buzzfeed Personality Quiz on anime bloggers and I got myself. I’m sure most of you have seen the quiz already.
Thank you Aria for the Valentine’s card! For those of you who don’t know, Izaya is my favourite anime character. Aria was spot on with this.
Adding this last-minute request from @melo__nsoda . Again, I'm not overly familiar with the series and had to read up a bit on him to think up an appropriate line, but I hope I nailed it. pic.twitter.com/PVwqL8X9ib

Did you know I have a secret second blog? It’s more focused on anime, manga, and game reviews. I wanted to go anonymous but didn’t want to throw this blog away since I’ve done so much with it already.
I’ll still regularly update this blog with my cosplays, drawings, photography, daily life updates, and more. I will still post anime reviews and other anime-related posts on this blog.
Being anonymous has been an interesting experience. There are fewer things to worry about (i.e. fear of oversharing, fear of complaining too much, having bad takes, having bad taste).
Nabe tweeted about ordering ribbons –> I ordered one –> I posted about it –> Elle ordered one. Hahaha
So I’ve been wanting to blog more but the hard part was not knowing what to blog about. Then a memory randomly resurfaced. I distinctly remembered being interested in a blogging challenge back in June 2018. Well, better late than never… right?
The blogging challenge is the 15 Days of Death Note Challenge by Ryuugi’s Tatsuya’s Anime Corner. Blogging for 15 days in a row is a little ambitious for me but I’ll try. I’ll start today.

In other news, Moya has been sending me nightly reminders to sleep on time. I’m not joking.

I thought I would write a little update because quite a few people have asked how I’ve been. Mostly everyone I know is staying at home.
I’ve been at home for… around 9 days now. Staying home doesn’t bother me because I’ve always preferred staying at home. I’ve always hated hot weather, the rain, the snow, exercising, waiting for the bus, loud sounds, the list goes on… Right now isn’t so different from my old life. I’m used to it.
I’ve been pretty busy finishing practicum and my course. I just need to put in one more day of work to finish my last course of my degree! I’ve also been working from home.
In my spare time, I’ve been watching anime and dramas, cosplaying, playing games on my PS Vita, drawing, listening to music, watching YouTube videos, and reading manga, webtoons and fan fiction. Not much has changed from before…
I would have liked to admire the cherry blossoms and drink bubble tea with my friends. I miss bubble tea a lot. There are more important issues in the world though.
A little update: Starting today, I will be staying at home. The university has instructed us to stop going to our practicum sites and to do the work at home. The class will also be done remotely. This was after Justin Trudeau’s announcement, in which he recommended that everyone stay at home.
I’m not sure if I ever wrote this, but I have a number of jobs. Most of them are done from home to begin with, so I’m used to it. Still, I wonder what these next few weeks will look like… O_O
During these uncertain moments, sometimes we just want to escape from reality for a little while and watch something to distract ourselves. I’m not in the mood to watch something twisted because it reminds me of society too much (hahaha) so these are shows that will help calm you down! In my last blog post, I wrote about songs that inspire hope during this challenging time.
Mushi-shi
Mushi-shi is perfect for when you need to unwind. It makes you feel so calm. The opening song, Shiver by Lucy Rose, is in English and it is such a beautiful song. The colours of the show are so calming to look at. Every episode is its own short story with new characters. I highly recommend this anime.
If you like Mushi-shi, you’ll also like Natsume’s Book of Friends (and vice versa).
The Case Files of Jeweler Richard
This is an anime from this season. This show is pretty interesting because you learn about different gemstones. For example, I didn’t know that there was a fascinating stone called the Cat’s Eye until I watched the show.
My Roommate is a Cat
In this anime, Subaru Mikazuki, an introverted writer, changes in small ways. Haru is such an adorable cat. The latter half of the episodes are retold from Haru’s point of view.
After the Rain has so much beautiful imagery. Akira Tachibana’s eyes are drawn so beautifully and the backgrounds are so pretty. This anime is about loss, innocent love, and new beginnings.
All of these pictures were posted on my Instagram, but I thought I would post them in a blog format.

What’s up? I’ve been working on a Shield Hero post but I’ll publish it once the series is complete. I have one more week of summer school and then I will have more time to blog and cosplay! I hope everyone is doing well!
