These things spark joy!
The last time I did a spark joy post was in March 2019. Click here to see it.
Last April, my marimo reproduced and created a little baby. They all look rounder now, and the baby is bigger.
I hope everyone is healthy and safe.
Some nail photos from my blog’s media gallery.
Selfie with filter from March.

I think I’m FINALLY getting used to being at home all day, every day. My kalimba arrived and it’s really nice.
I don’t feel that lonely. I play games with my BFF almost every night and we also exercise and draw together. She recently got a drawing tablet. I wouldn’t be doing these three things as much if it weren’t for her, to be honest. (Everything is done virtually.)
I watch shows with my other friends. We’re also practicing the kalimba together since we ordered together. & of course, I have my family, online friends, and a few other close friends.
p.s. I have a penpal. In December 2019, I wrote a post called The Significance of the Letter. Did you know that I’ve published over 550 posts?
I went to Bowen Island for a couple of days with two friends. It’s really close to Vancouver.
I felt stressed these past weeks and wanted a break from city life. Prior to the trip, I had not been on an overnight trip in several years and did not hike in a really long time. I am a homebody but it was relaxing and refreshing to be in nature. I felt peaceful.
I think that when you’re on the island, you are on an “island timezone.” What I mean by this is that there’s no rush and there’s not much need to check your phone. I wonder why I check my phone a lot more in the city- perhaps because a lot of people have the ‘need to be productive’ mindset?
The view from the ferry.
The view from the top.
I would say that the highlight of the trip was stargazing. There is only one street light on the island. I had never seen so many stars before. They looked so big and I could see them clearly.
The lighthouse and volcanic rocks.
I got my friends to watch The Untamed with me after our hikes. They became really invested in it, which was great. Hehehe.
All of these pictures were posted on my Instagram, but I thought I would post them in a blog format.
Can’t wait to read this book~

My first Kaiji thing. It’s pretty much impossible to find anything from this anime in Canada… Thank you to my friend for the belated birthday gift! Those who watched Kaiji Season 2 will know about the dice… The ざわざわ wrapping paper OMG

Should I keep doing this kind of monthly update? Let me know. x)
What’s up, people?!
I’ve wanted a DSLR since I was around 17 when I started blogging and I finally bought one! I’m 22 years old now, and I guess I kind of forgot I wanted one until now…
These are the first photos I took with my Canon EOS 600D. These photos don’t have filters or anything. Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers. I fell in love with them after watching After the Rain.
None of these photos were edited (except for the last one).
