Travel Diary: Bowen Island

I went to Bowen Island for a couple of days with two friends. It’s really close to Vancouver.

I felt stressed these past weeks and wanted a break from city life. Prior to the trip, I had not been on an overnight trip in several years and did not hike in a really long time. I am a homebody but it was relaxing and refreshing to be in nature. I felt peaceful.

I think that when you’re on the island, you are on an “island timezone.” What I mean by this is that there’s no rush and there’s not much need to check your phone. I wonder why I check my phone a lot more in the city- perhaps because a lot of people have the ‘need to be productive’ mindset?

I would say that the highlight of the trip was stargazing. There is only one street light on the island. I had never seen so many stars before. They looked so big and I could see them clearly.

I got my friends to watch The Untamed with me after our hikes. They became really invested in it, which was great. Hehehe.

I guess I don’t have much to say in this post, except for the words… thank you. Some of you guys have stuck with me through thick and thin and it means a lot to me. I love you~

I’m not someone who ‘likes whatever is good’

I have my favourite foods, like strawberries and vanilla ice cream, my favourite anime shows, games, music and more. Two of my favourite things are jewelry and the beach.

I am a big supporter of jewelry. I think boys should wear jewelry too. I like chain bracelets. Bracelets and earrings are very meaningful when they are from others. This bracelet was actually a present. Sapphire jewelry is very beautiful~

Beaches have oceans. I just to like to walk around and sit on the sand. It was a nice day to look at the ocean.

I need to practice drawing alpacas

Alpacas are my favourite animals. I also love jellyfish.

I want to draw an alpaca on a card. Making or buying cards are so easy but I always feel nervous when it’s time to give it to the person… I feel nervous no matter who the person is.
