I’m late to post this (as usual) but better late than never… right? I had a lot of fun at the pumpkin patch at Richmond Country Farms, and I would definitely go again.

Not going to lie, I’ve wondered why I blog and do my other hobbies. I could just enjoy content without creating my own.
What value do I add to this world? I’m contributing to something, right..?
Do people like me? My content?
Does my content suck? LOL
These are the thoughts I’ve had. I can’t help it; I’ve been negative my entire life.
I got a letter from my penpal and a portion of the letter stuck out to me. The gist of it was: pushing people towards things they would have otherwise overlooked, and that people have watched shows because of me. This is true. I’ve had many people tell me that they’ve watched shows because of my reviews. Examples: Bii Your Light + Appreciation Shout-Outs & Yesterday wo Utatte Episode 1 Impressions. There are many more instances…
Isn’t this a huge reason why I blog in the first place? To share the things I love so that more people can learn about them. In my Why I Like Anime So Much post, I shared that growing up, my classmates and I enjoyed different shows. I was alone in the sense that nobody knew what I was talking about.
Things are different now. Possibly the biggest reason why I blog is because of the blogging community and my blogger friends. Friends that, may not necessarily watch the stuff I like but are willing to read about my interests and be nonjudgmental.
Re-examining my motivations for blogging and other interests made me realize that blogging is a meaningful hobby for me. π
I think I’m FINALLY getting used to being at home all day, every day. My kalimba arrived and it’s really nice.
I don’t feel that lonely. I play games with my BFF almost every night and we also exercise and draw together. She recently got a drawing tablet. I wouldn’t be doing these three things as much if it weren’t for her, to be honest. (Everything is done virtually.)
I watch shows with my other friends. We’re also practicing the kalimba together since we ordered together. & of course, I have my family, online friends, and a few other close friends.
p.s. I have a penpal. In December 2019, I wrote a post called The Significance of the Letter. Did you know that I’ve published over 550 posts?

Violet Evergarden does an amazing job of portraying the significance of writing letters and receiving them. I thought the beginning of the anime was slow, but I’m very glad I completed it. Violet Evergarden does a great job at pulling at your heartstrings. Definitely give it a watch!
I was thinking about Violet Evergarden and letters in general, then thought about the letters and cards I’ve received over the years. I actually keep the majority of them, any card or letter that contains a personal message. Some, I keep in a box in my room. The rest, I keep downstairs.
Some letters and cards are from people I am no longer in touch with. I think it’s natural to drift away from people. Then we meet new people. There is nothing strange about that. The people that were once a part of my life were there for me during my highs and lows. Their letters and cards serve as a way for me to remember them, and evidence of the good moments we shared.
I write letters. In fact, I rarely give people cards. Some people tell me that they love that I write letters. I think that it is sometimes easier to convey feelings through words. I spend a long time on my letters. I write with different coloured pens sometimes. I also decorate them with stickers and stamps. I hope that people enjoy reading my letters. ^^

Congratulations to my friend who graduated! She was busy taking photos with other people, so I took some photos with my other friends.

As some of you know, I studied at the University of British Columbia in British Columbia, Canada. I am from BC and I finished my Bachelor’s degree in four years. I majored in Psychology and I will be continuing my studies at UBC because I was accepted into the Social Work program.
I do feel proud of myself because I graduated at the age of 21 by taking a full course load. I started university right after high school and you need a high average to get in. The Social Work program was competitive as well and the interview was three hours! Anyways, that’s enough bragging. I have bragging rights on my own blog, right? Right??
I wore my Kiki’s Delivery Service dress from my cosplay.
I like how the horns come out of the graduation cap. Thanks friends for the anime figures!
Thanks R for the flowers, card and presents! The graduation mug is very practical.
I guess I don’t have much to say in this post, except for the words… thank you. Some of you guys have stuck with me through thick and thin and it means a lot to me. I love you~
I feel quite content right now. I’m happy. ^^

Also, message me on Twitter if you haven’t already~
When I bought my ticket online for Anime Evolution, I used Eventbrite. That was just a few weeks ago. The process went smoothly and I had a good experience with them. By buying my ticket online, I didn’t have to pay at the door. It was nice because I bought my ticket early and got a discounted price.Β IΒ printed my ticket out and just showed it to the people who organized the eventΒ andΒ registered on their site.
Alright, my dream con includes the one and only… EIICHIRO ODA, the creator of One Piece! I would love to meet him… That would be a dream come true.
I would cosplay as a One Piece character (not sure who yet) and I would want to spend the con with all my AniBlogger and AniTwitter friends. (You guys know who you are… ^^) I want all my good friends to be there too. It would be good if it was a private event that only my friends and I can attend so no one has to wait in line… Am I being too selfish? (Well this is a dream so…)
I would also want Hiroshi Kamiya, the voice actor of Izaya Orihara, to be there. I want him to talk in Izaya’s voice for me. I also want to meet the Japanese voice actor of Deidara from Naruto Shippuden. I’ll definitely need English translators there.
More people I want to meet are my favourite cosplayers, like Yuegene Fay. I want to take pictures with everyone. It would be nice to have a photographer who just follows me around and takes a bunch of candid and staged pictures LOL.
In the last two anime events I went to, I did not find a lot of anime merchandise I was interested in. That’s why in my dream con, I want a lot of One Piece and Izaya merchandise. I want cheap prices please… Can the ticket prices be free for everyone too? LOL.
A restaurant or food stalls would be nice. I always buy food nearby when I attend anime events but they’re always outside the convention location. It would be super convenient if there was a restaurant… Not cafe because that’s not filling enough. Real food!
The location should be in… Japan. Then after the convention I can explore Japan with my friends hahaha. I want to go to Ikebukuro and all those anime attractions.
Of course we need music so there should be our favourite bands performing there, the ones who sing anime openings and endings. Flumpool is my favourite Japanese band. I want Ryuta to sing in Chinese for me. β€
What else… I want props outside and inside the convention building for photo-taking. Stuff like a cool-looking background or the Thousand Sunny (lol) would be good.
Oh! I also want a bunch of prize draws where everyone gets a raffle ticket and there are multiple prizes to be won. Prizes like… authentic nendoroids and One Piece flag, etc. Okay, that’s all I can think of for now.
Hope you liked this post!
Yuki Cross is a character from the anime, Vampire Knight. I actually don’t like Yuki but I don’t try to limit myself to only cosplay characters I like.
Behind the scenes:
Funny story: I got mosquito bites when I was doing this. My blood was literally sucked when I was cosplaying for a vampire anime.
Don’t worry, I have good pain tolerance.
