A couple of places I visited~

I went to Habit Coffee and Fisherman’s Wharf in Victoria, B.C. in October.

I wasn’t a big coffee drinker before, but now I love it. My boyfriend gifted me an AeroPress a long time ago, and now I can’t go back to drinking instant coffee. Still, I don’t think I have the patience to grind coffee beans by hand. I’m not at that level just yet.

Dahlias are one of my favourite flowers. I saw these at Richmond Country Farms in October.

I watched a video a long time ago about dahlia-growing contests in Japan. I think that it’s cool to have one thing that you’re super committed to. I don’t think I have that – I constantly switch back and forth between hobbies.

Have you noticed that I’ve been writing a little bit more in my posts? I got inspired by Minty’s long posts and writing style. I don’t think I can ever write one as long as hers, but this is a step.

Inktober 2019 – Days 9-10

Days 1-3 post HERE.

Days 4-5 post HERE.

Days 6-8 post HERE.

I kind of forgot that I was doing Inktober until a couple of my classmates reminded me.

Day 9: Swing

I combined two things I adore: anime and literature from the 1800s. The Pit and the Pendulum is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe, one of my favourite authors. I drew Emma from the anime, The Promised Neverland. The prompt is “swing’ so that’s why I drew a pendulum. ^_^

If you’ve watched or read The Promised Neverland, the reason for Emma being the one potentially killed should make even more sense because of the anime’s premise.

Before you say anything, no, this is not the first thing that came to my mind when I read the prompt. The playground swing was the first thing that came to my mind, but I have never liked doing what everyone else does (AKA, draw the playground swing).

Day 10: Pattern

I drew baby blue eyes flowers. I am not particularly proud of this one, but it’s better than nothing.

Sea of Flowers

I went back to the sunflower field the very next day. My original plans were to go today with friends but after I told my family about it, they wanted to see the flowers for themselves. So that’s why I went twice. Going with friends means they can take pictures of me. :p

I wonder what it is about taking pictures that is so fun – both taking the photos and being the one photographed.

Richmond Sunflower Festival

The Richmond Sunflower Festival has a lot of sunflowers, hahaha. These are my favourite pictures of them.

Funny enough, my favourite flowers were these wildflowers. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.

rose

Rose (me) and a rose.

It’s autumn and some leaves have fallen to the ground. Most roses have begun to wilt, but this one is still in bloom, for now. Every rose has its own timeline, I guess. Also, I wonder why I’m attracted to the white roses over the more vibrant colours.

I’ve added a new page on my blog, called Review List. You’ll find a list of anime reviews, manga analysis, drama reviews, and game reviews there. I’ll be adding to that list soon! One of my blog goals is to write more anime reviews, and hopefully novel reviews as well.

Travel Diary: Parliament & Butchart Gardens of Victoria

I went to Victoria, BC again. Last time I went to Craigdarroch Castle, Chinatown and Miniature Museum. This time I went to the Parliament Buildings (only outside) and Butchart Gardens.

The Parliament Buildings are really big.

The Butchart Gardens are quite big as well. I took photos of my favourite flowers. I must have missed the lilies because I don’t think I saw them…

The gardens are definitely my favourite place in Victoria.

Princess Jellyfish – Tsukimi Cosplay

Princess Jellyfish is a cute anime series that follows a girl named Tsukimi. She loves jellyfish and she befriends a guy who likes to cross-dress.

Photo credit goes to one of my favourite friends in the whole world. We took these at the rose garden on my university campus during break!

Blogging from the University

Today I had a meeting at the Psychology Lab and the Professor brought strawberries!

Then I went to the rose garden on campus. I love roses. This shouldn’t be a surprise because my name is Rose. These were my favourites. No filter for the next three:
