It’s been a couple of years since my last Week in Pictures post.
For those of you wondering, yes, I am double vaccinated. Masks are not required indoors or outdoors in BC, Canada. I still wear masks when I go out (minus restaurants and secluded areas). I actually double mask and avoid places where there are a lot of people.
I loved the mango roll and aburi sushi. Everything was so fresh.
I got the Original pork loin and tried a bit of my friend’s Double Cheese pork loin. The portions were huge and the meat was crispy.
I finally got a hair cut! Just in time for the current heat wave, too.

That sounds like a great week, especially the sushi part π A province over, weβre somehow bungling the reopening and the numbers are skyrocketing.

It was! That’s my fear for BC. Numbers are already increasing and I fear that it hasn’t reached its peak yet.

We had sushi on Monday in Ontario and it looked just like your photo. It was so good! I only eat the California rolls π You look so happy in these photos!

Working from home definitely has its perks but not being able to see people is not one of them. Now that the restrictions are lifting, Iβm waiting for cases to spike again. Enjoy the freedom while it lasts π
Alberta is so lax now that I just know itβs going to be a recipe for disaster. I used to do contact tracing but they dropped it and dropped tracking case counts. Iβm not sure what itβs like in BC. It seems like every province has its own set of rules.

I just saw the news and BC cases are already spiking.
I’m not sure if they still do contact tracing here but restrictions are definitely more lax as well.

Thanks, Caz! It was my first week outside with friends since pre-pandamic days. I work from home and didn’t really feel safe going outside until recently. I hope you can enjoy cafes and other places safely soon!!

We’re seeing the case counts go up in my county here on the other side of the border. I’m just really exhausted by it. I just wish people would get vaccinated so we could get this over with. I feel like we’re just in a new cycle of the same old thing.

Yeah, it does feel like that. Lifted restrictions, cases go up, and then back to more restrictions. π¦ I’ve seen some people present fake vaccination in the news and it’s just so ridiculous.

Yeah. I’ve heard of people selling faked vax cards. It’s crazy. When did we get this scared of well-established science. It’s not like we don’t know how vaccinations are supposed to work.
It’s just frustrating.
