In May 2017, I blogged about my marimo.
Two days ago, my marimo made a baby! Their names are Zoro, Luffy, and Chopper. The baby’s name is Chopper and Luffy is the parent. Yes, I can tell them apart…

This is the most interesting thing I’ve seen all day. I’m very intrigued by this little green fluff ball. From what I read, they fare well with Beta fish too. How long did it take for it to make a baby? Seeing that your initial blog post was written in 2017, did it take 3 years?

Yes, it took 3 years! It caught me by surprise because I didn’t know they could reproduce!
Marimo are extremely easy to take care of. They make the best plants. ❤

How often do they make children?

I think it’s rare. I mean, it took 3 years for my marimo to reproduce. I don’t expect it to happen for a really long time.

Really? That’s pretty interesting how marimos reproduce. I guess their nature and how they bond with each other is different than most animals and plants.
