Sorry for the delay

The fastest way to kill something special is to compare it to something else.”

It’s taking a while to write the Winter 2019 Wrap-up post. I’ve completed The Promised Neverland, Kaguya-sama, My Roommate is a Cat, and Kakegurui xx.

I got sucked into Asian drama hell.

I’m definitely going to watch at least two Spring 2019 anime, but I’m also going to write at least two Asian drama posts.

  1. Oooh, it’s so easy to get pulled into the Asian drama hole! I’ve been battling that a bit myself. I always love reading your posts on Asian dramas. I’ve noticed I tend to go through phases of watching anime or reading manga, or just reading books and watching dramas, lol. I think I’m going to limit myself to two anime serials during the spring so I have time to do other things that I enjoy as well. Keeping up with simulcasts can be exhausting and time consuming, for me at least.

    • It really is easy to get pulled into it! Why, thank you. xD I go through phases too! That’s exactly it. It’s been this way since elementary school. In fact, I think I watched dramas before I got into anime. My anime phases tend to be longer than my drama phases, so I guess that’s why I watch more anime.

Limiting yourself to two anime shows sounds like a good idea! I like keeping up with simulcasts, but I don’t think I could do it for more than 5~ shows.

      • I’ve noticed my anime phases tend to be longer than the others as well, unless it’s a phase of reading Japanese lit. Those last for a good long while (I’m hoping one will sprout up soon, I miss it). I think it’s because anime has just a variety to the narrative styles, genres, etc. when compared to other mediums. Not that those mediums don’t have it as well, but it’s also a bit more accessible and better defined (for me) with anime. If that makes sense lol.

      • That makes sense! I think for anime, they can do sooo much more with it than dramas. Some fighting scenes in dramas, for example, may not be done very well if the budget is low, that kind of thing.
