Yes, you can. If you aren’t contented with what you are seeing on the trending list, you can see articles from news pages, a similar thing with Facebook. Try following CNN, Fox News… depending on what you want to know.
The only thing I get for having a twitter account is, lots of email updates which contain stuff which are not even to my liking. Like I never gave a follow for political sites, but the mail comes with a link to some trending political topic.. Wth 😕🙀 not useful to me.
I don’t know if there is an unsubscribe button, it’s not there out on the open. It does lead me to a settings page, but couldn’t go around searching for it….

I see your point. I find that YouTube does that for me as well and it’s annoying because I would never watch their popular suggestions. I don’t care for irrelevant suggestions either and it seems like a way just to advertise those trends.
i use a twitter, and personally it’s a great platform if you’re looking for communicating with budding artists (and its where the jap artists lurk >u>;;)
I have Twitter. I use it keep up with news like for video games and sometimes anime like FUNimation or Crunchyroll. I also use to see what my blogging friends are doing. You can also send private messages to your friends.
I think I would be interested in getting news on anime. WordPress does that for me too, haha. It’s cool how you can do that with your blogging friends and friends IRL. Thanks.

Ever since I started blogging I am using Twitter more again, partially to also share my blog on that medium, but also to keep up to date with other blogs, abd certain news updates 😀

I use Twitter mainly because I watch a live safari program, Wild SafariLIVE, in which you can communicate in real time with safari guides in South Africa. Twitter is the easiest and most convenient way to do so. My username is Myusername432 🙂

I quit about six months ago. It was a good thing in my opinion, but different things for different people 🙂
